I began researching shipping companies to ship my household goods (HHG) when I seriously decided to retire in Ecuador. I got quote after quote, but all were exorbitantly expensive and I was not satisfied of their expertise with Ecuadorian Customs, and their ability to pick up and deliver my shipment to my home in Puerto Cayo, Ecuador. Finally, I was put in contact with Paul Wilches of Ecuador Relocation Services (RSE). Paul immediately emailed me with information to include the shipping process, how to inventory each box – a requirement of Ecuadorian Customs, and the customs process. Finally, we had a Zoom call to go over the details. Paul always gave me the opportunity to ask questions and he promptly replied. I signed a contract with ERS in July 2024. I then began the painstaking process of inventorying ever box that I wanted to ship, recording even the smallest of items. A representative of ERS picked up my HHG from storage on July 19, 2024. By August 12, 2024 my shipment was in the Port of Guayaquil. On August 16, 2024 Ecuadorian Customs inspected by shipment, which passed inspection the same day due to recording a meticulous inventory of ALL items in each box. By Tuesday, August 27, 2024, my HHGs arrived in the same condition as when I shipped them! Of course some boxes were a little worn and I inspected those boxes to make sure nothing was broken. I have not opened each box because I am renting until my house build is complete.
This sounds like a very simple process, and for the most part it is. However, since I did not have an Ecuador Visa at the time my HHGs arrived in the Port of Guayaquil, I had to post a bond with Customs to release my HHGs. I had to provide to Paul Wilches 3 certified copies of my Immigration Movement Report, meet Paul’s representative at Notiario 3 in Manta (I live in Puerto Cayo and it’s a 1 hour trip each way), to notarize my USA Passport and the 3 movement reports, then sign paperwork. The last trip to Manta, I signed more paperwork to release my HHGs and then post a bond so my shipment could be delivered to me. They bond money is refundable once I get my temporary Visa, and Paul will do that paperwork for me as well. Although this process required multiple trips to Manta, it was smooth and Paul Wilches of RSE took care of all the details for the shipment including dealing with Ecuador Customs. I would highly recommend using RSE to ship to Ecuador.

We are very satisfied by using service of Relocation Services of Ecuador. Less talk, more work. Paul is a professional. He explained the whole process of bringing container to Ecuador. Helped in everything: creating an inventory list, working with Canadian and Ecuadoran logistics, working with Customs, brining the container to our new living place and unloaded. I wish, everyone works like Paul- calm and experienced person. I recommend hire Relocation Services of Ecuador if you need to bring a container to Ecuador.

My name is Raghuraman Krishnan, and I recently relocated with my wife Usha, from Wilmington, DE, to Cuenca, Ecuador, in December 2023. I am writing to express my sincere appreciation and satisfaction with the relocation services provided by Paul Wilches and his team at Relocation Services of Ecuador.
Once we decided to relocate, we were not sure whether we should ship our household goods to Cuenca or to purchase all our requirements in Cuenca. So we wanted to talk to someone who can guide us with all the required information like the cost of shipping our household goods, whether to use a 20 feet container or a 40 feet one, the legal restrictions in Ecuador as to what household items can be shipped and prohibited items etc. We were looking in YouTube/Google for this and chanced upon a video posted by JP & Amelia where they had recommended Paul Wilches for this service and had also interviewed him in that video for the benefit of people like us.
We then contacted Paul around April 2023. From the moment we contacted, Paul exhibited a level of professionalism that immediately put us at ease. He answered all our questions, provided photographs/videos showing how the container looks (20 feet Vs 40 feet), how much we can fit in, approximate cost of shipping door-to-door from Wilmington to Cuenca, how to pack each item, the packing materials required to pack specific items like couch, pictures, paintings, bowls, cups etc., and where to get them in US. This was so helpful that we were able to pack everything ourselves, except the big like couch, dressers, beds etc., for which we hired a local guy. Mind you, he provided all this information even before I had made any commitment to use his services.
I did shop around to see if there was any other company who provided similar services and found out that those companies were not only unprofessional but were not even interested in shipping household goods. So, in August of 2023, we decided to use Paul’s services. His handling of my order and the efficiency throughout the entire moving process were truly commendable. They were punctual, well-prepared, and demonstrated a keen attention to detail, ensuring that our belongings were handled with the utmost care. Communication played a crucial role in making our move a smooth experience. Paul was consistently responsive to our inquiries and concerns, keeping us informed at every step either via email, WhatsApp messages, video conference. He also provided lot of useful videos which helped us in packing all our valuable items ourself. This transparent and effective communication was invaluable in alleviating the usual stresses associated with such a significant transition.
The quality of service provided by Relocation Services of Ecuador surpassed our expectations. Our belongings arrived in Cuenca in excellent condition (not a single item was missing or damaged), a testament to his dedication, to ensuring a seamless and damage-free relocation. Even when faced with challenges, Paul and his team demonstrated a proactive approach, swiftly addressing and resolving any issues that arose. To be specific we made some mistakes in numbering the boxes. For example we said in the list submitted to Ecuadorian customs that Box No. 97 has items 1,2,3…. But those items were in box number 79. It was our mistake as we had transposed the box numbers and pasted incorrect box number on the box. So the Ecuadorian Customs officer wanted to check every box and this would have delayed the releasing of the container. But Paul’s team convinced the officer and got them released within a week of its arrival at Guayaquil port. This saved us any penalty which the customs officer would have levied and also saved additional demurrage charges which the container company would have charged, if there was any delay.
What truly set Paul Wilches apart was the personal touch he added to our relocation experience. He visited our apartment the day before the container arrived to ensure that the road was broad enough to park the truck while the goods are being unloaded, that there was no low hanging electric wires in the street which may obstruct the truck, that the entrance to the building are wide to unload big items like couch, appliance etc., On the day the truck arrived he was there the whole time to oversee the unloading of the goods and ensured that each box is placed in the correct room (like Kitchen boxes in kitchen, each mattress in the specific bedroom we wanted etc.) to make our unpacking and arranging them inside the apartment, easy. His willingness to go above and beyond, coupled with the genuine care exhibited by his team, made a significant difference.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Paul Wilches and Relocation Services of Ecuador to anyone planning a move to Ecuador. Our experience was not only stress-free but everything arrived in perfect condition without even a small dent to any item. If you are seeking reliable, professional, and personalized relocation services, Paul Wilches is the person to trust.
Paul, thank you once again, for your outstanding service. We are ever grateful for the smooth transition you facilitated for our family.
Sincerely,
Raghuraman and Usha
Viviana.

I need to do a major shout out to Paul Wilches and his Ecuador Relocation Services! I packed my container with in a Houston on May 25th and got it delivered to my new Ecuadorian home in Santa Marianita on June 30. I tracked my ship leaving Houston going to Mobile, Alabama before going through the Panama Canal. I followed his instructions from our zoom call and in spite of last minute packing discrepancies l forwarded our inventory list twice before getting it correct. We still had a box without a label and an excercise ball lose it’s label but Paul worked around it to get our container released in short order. I did give Paul a major scare when he needed me to get our final notary note to get container released and needed my passport and had to tell him I send mine and wife’s to Guayaquil to be renewed and it woul be back in 30-40 days. He worked around that and got it released. He was in Manta for a conference and personally escorted the semi driver who got lost leaving Manta to be on hand for unloading process. If anyone has any question or wants to contact me directly I will be more than happy to share more detail of my wonderful experience.

Glad you had such a positive experience. Welcome
Paul Wilches and his staff at Relocation Services of Ecuador provided much peace of mind during our move to Ecuador. They made the process of shipping a liftvan of personal items about as easy as we could have imagined, from helping us understand the process at the beginning; to answering all our questions and reviewing our inventory; to arranging the actual shipping, receiving, and coordination with Ecuadorian Customs; as well as facilitating the payment — and refund! — of our bond to Customs to temporarily hold our goods as we obtained our visas. Their service was well worth the cost to ease the transition to our new life in Ecuador.

Review of Paul Wilches and Relocation Services of Ecuador
Paul Wilches, of Relocation Services of Ecuador made our move stress-free and easy. We hired him after a terrible experience with another shipper. He stepped in and made everything right. Paul charged less for a 20 foot container than the previous shipper did for two lift vans and a kayak, even though he had to correct all her mistakes. We were so impressed with his consistent communication with us, letting us know where our goods were every step of the way, and how to prepare for each next step. His staff was equally helpful, and professional, going above and beyond the call of duty. We truly knew we were in good hands once Paul and his crew took over our shipment. We learned through a mutual facebook friend that Paul’s beloved father had passed away on Easter. Paul was steady as a rock and continued to call us and work on delivering our goods even in the midst of his grief. His professionalism and integrity are above reproach and most assuredly made his departed father proud.
Our goods were delivered to our home and unloaded. We did not have to lift a finger except to check boxes off our list as they were carried in. We highly recommend Paul Wilches, and Relocation Services of Ecuador to anyone needing professional moving services. Not only are his services impeccable, but Paul is also a man of excellence and integrity who puts the needs of his clients first. Now that our business with Paul has concluded we look forward to knowing him as a friend and hopefully dining with him in our home someday.
Sincerely,
Evan Mackenzie and Michelle Manion
Greetings Paul, I know I speak for Mark when we say how pleased we were with you and your company Relocation Services of Ecuador when you helped us move our container of household goods from Texas to Cuenca. This job was monumental, and we could not have done it without you and your very capable staff and organizational skills. This was our first time making a move to another country. Thank you for working so diligently on our behalf and making the transition as smooth as possible. We appreciate your support, professionalism and communication throughout this process. We will definitely recommend you and your business to other expats considering a move like this in the future.
Pandemic…employment crisis…port backlog… We couldn’t have picked a worse time to move our household to Ecuador. Nothing went as planned, but Paul and his team were endlessly flexible; they problem solved on our behalf and never ceased to communicate both updates and solutions. We’re very grateful for Paul‘s professionalism and expertise, as well as, it warrants saying, his sympathetic encouragement! Your belongings will be in good hands if you place them in Paul‘s. I highly recommend Paul Wilches from Relocation Services of Ecuador.

What can we say about our experience with shipping our possessions from Canada to Ecuador with Paul
Wilches and his team from Relocations Services Of Ecuador.
We first talked to Paul approximately 9 months prior to our shipping our container. He answered all the
questions we had at the time, and we talked to him a couple times more before locking in our decision
to bring our possessions with us.
The contract that we signed was pretty clear and included in the email that they sent with the contract
were simple instructions on packing, things we could not be bring and the number of certain items we
could.
During the whole process Paul Wilches would respond to us when we had questions and if not
available at the moment we called him, he would return our calls within a reasonable amount of time.
Paul Wilches and the rest of the team kept us up to date all the way through and made it easy during
COVID times to get legal documents signed here in Ecuador.
Our possessions arrived into Guayaquil, had a few issues with the shipping line which was sorted, a
couple issues with customs, one being an error of a weigh scale but Paul Wilches there every step of
the way ensuring our belongings arrived to our new home.
With a move as big as this, we knew that there would be stressful moments, and there was a period of
time when it was held up in the shipping yard we thought, “why did we do this”, but were thrilled to see
it arrive to our home safely. It has now been two months since it arrived and we are extremely happy
with the decision that we made for us. I
f you were thinking about who to use to ship your possessions to Ecuador from another country, we
would certainly recommend Relocation Services of Ecuador

We shipped a container from Texas to Cuenca and Paul was fantastic during the whole process, including instructions about inventory, packing, loading, customs inspection, transport, and finally unloading into our apartment. There were «bumps» regarding the lockdown at that time, and these were expertly resolved by Paul. We recommend his services without reservation!

Paul Wilches is so great and so calm. He takes care of literally everything, although there is plenty work to do on your part as well. Just follow his instructions and don’t try to do your own work-around. My container arrived exactly on time and the delivery to Cuenca was seamless. He’s super professional and very knowledgeable. He has ultimately become an important resource/contact for me since I arrived last August.

Since you specified Europe, I can answer this question. We shipped a liftvan from Budapest, Hungary to Cuenca using Paul Wilches of Relocation Services of Ecuador at paulw@relocationservicesofecuador.net 098-721-3242. He and his assistant were great.
Keys to success:
1. You have to keep a detailed inventory of everything in each box, box by box. Detailed means even the number of pencils or plastic page protectors, if you pack them. There are no shortcuts.
2. I also took photos of each and every item that went into each box. The inventory needs to be translated to Spanish by Paul’s office. I knew there were items they would not understand the English name for, so a photo was easier to explain long distance.
3. Every box must have one person’s name and the box number on it. I put these labels on two sides to facilitate finding them.
4. Items that cannot be boxed, must also have your name, be numbered, and itemized on your inventory.
After I had 46 boxes packed, sealed, labeled, photographed, and inventoried, the Hungarian movers told me «Don’t do anything. We will pack for you.» I went into a panic, wrote to Paul near hysterical, but he smoothed it out. The Hungarian movers did open several boxes to check the contents, since they were responsible for Customs leaving Hungary. They reorganized several boxes and when I explained I needed to update my inventory list, the man said «I think what I put in this box is…» Again, I had a panic attack fearing this minor mix-up was going to create havoc in Guayaquil. After informing Paul, he smoothed it out somehow.
It did take about 5 weeks longer than I was told, but everything came intact and not a thing was missing. This is another good reason for a detailed inventory, so you can check items off as you unpack.
I would definitely use Paul again, but thank heavens, I will never need to.

We are very pleased to have used your services in coordinating our move from Jacksonville, Florida to Ecuador. We had originally planned on using a large US moving company but once we learned of the mechanics and details of the move it became apparent that a company in Ecuador with boots on the ground would be the best option. The shipping container arrived at our house at the scheduled time and left the port of Jacksonville without delay. Upon arrival at the Port of Guayaquil is where Paul’s team really shines. They translated our extensive container manifest, verified all of the contents and worked with the customs and immigration officials to move our household items without delay. Their extensive knowledge of what can be imported and the prohibited items list was of great aide when packing and at the port. Paul’s crew unloaded and moved a full 40 ft container into our home and directed the placement of the contents without the scraping of walls, dropping of boxes or damaging our items including a very heavy pool table, marble tables and two large crated bronze statues.
Lots of moving companies can pack and load your household contents, but upon arrival at the Port of GYE is when a local company with extensive experience is invaluable.
Relocation Services of Ecuador took much of the stress out of a major move and we would recommend them to anyone choosing Ecuador as their next destination!

Paul Wilches and his assistant Nathaly are the best – extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. They both also speak beautiful English, if that’s necessary for you. I had my container packed and taken to the port of San Pedro, CA four days before I left Los Angeles this past Aug 17. The ship docked in GYE and my goods cleared customs a month later. All my stuff was brought into my apartment on Sept 22. Everything happened exactly within the timeframe Paul said it would, without a hitch. I had to set up a bond because I didn’t have my temporary residence visa when I got here, and Paul accompanied me to the bank, notary, everywhere I had to go. He and Nathaly did everything for me. If you follow his instructions exactly as he tells you, you will have no problems at all. At the end of the process, which for me began in June when I made my first phone contact with him, I considered him a friend. I know I can call on him for absolutely anything I need, whether related to moving or not. I invite you to contact me at hunter.jenniferj@gmail.com or on Magic Jack/whatsapp at 310-463-1828 if you have any questions at all re: pricing, process, etc.
Paul and his team of professionals have performed the impossible for my mother! Personal care in moving her 12500 pounds from Cuenca to the US in the time of Covid! Included in the load of valuables were antiques, a grandfather clock, a baby grand piano, and of course China and crystal. Although the load passed through the hands of Ecuador’s customs bureau in Guayaquil, Paul’s team was on site and taking photos and I believe prevented breakage and loss.
The estimate Paul provided was almost exact. The fees we paid to US and EC authorities were as predicted. The packers hired in Cuenca were professional, skilled, and worth every penny. New packing and boxes were used.
The timing of the arrival at the final destination was early, but Paul and his team were able to adjust delivery to accommodate our needs.
Finally, this journey is an important one for any expat. The care Paul took helping my mother find a way, to move not just her belongings, but even her own travel, during this very challenging time we cannot thank him enough for.
We strongly recommend Paul and his team to any US or Ecuadorian transiting between the two countries. Additionally, if Paul says he can do it. He can.
Most of all,
Michael Worthington <m.worthington@me.com>
We met Paul when we last visited Cuenca and were here to confirm that we were going to retire here. He has been recommended by many people for his professionalism and attention to detail. When we first met in his office in the Acropolis Building, he was patient to answer all our questions about an overseas move in a shipping container (our first). She we returned to the US and set our time table, to coordinate also with obtaining our visas, Paul was diligent at arranging for the container to be delivered at our home, but we did have to arrange a local mover (central Texas) to load the container. He worked with us along the way to assist in a very detailed spreadsheet inventory of our items, explaining just how things had to be listed. We were able to come here with complete peace of mind, and we arrived at the first of February. We were invited to go with Paul to the port at Guayaquil for the container inspection, which was very interesting, and we were there for any questions that the port inspector had about our items. However, before the delivery could be arranged, the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, and eventually the port was locked down, our container stranded, and an item on the inventory could not be amended and notarized because of the lock down. Paul could not have been more helpful, reassuring, and knowledgeable about the system. In a relatively short period of time, somehow, Paul was able to “pull strings” and obtain a “decree” to allow the container to be released, find a driver and get a salvoconducto to allow the truck to pass from Guayaquil to Cuenca, and arrange to unload and move in to our apartment. The building manager and other residents were nervous about the health risks of the move-in. Paul worked with the manager and had a team of six guys to unload the container and place items and boxes into specific rooms at our direction, all in about 1.5 hours, starting at 6 AM! What could have been a very difficult situation, short of losing our container at the bottom of the ocean, was simplified by Paul’s expertise and years of working with and developing friends in the business and at the port. Through the unusual circumstances, he has become a Cuencano friend whom we can call upon to assist us when we need it. If you are considering shipping a container when you move to Ecuador (anywhere, not just Cuenca), please consider making an initial appointment with Paul to discuss the process.

My experience with Relocation Services of Ecuador (RSE) was wonderful. From our first telephone meeting, when I was just gathering information and trying to decide if I wanted to bring a container to Ecuador back in 2017/2018, Paul Wilches and Nathaly Consuegra was extremely helpful. They provided me with a lots of information, including rough estimates of the timeline and the costs of 20 foot vs 40 foot container. After lots researching and speaking with other people, I found Paul and Nathaly by far easier to communicate by phone or by email and they took the time to explain the whole process to me. They provided lots of email with pictures of how to label your boxes and the inventory sheet so that you won’t have any issues with Ecuador Customs inspections when they are inspecting your container or anything smaller.
The packing and loading of the container in Canada were the only things that I had to take care of. Everything else, including hiring of the container shipping company in Canada through the United States to the ship for shipment to Guayaquil, Ecuador, having all the paperwork done necessary for Canadian Customs, United States Customs, Ecuadorian Customs along with meeting with customs in Guayaquil and bringing the contents of the container into our house, was handled by Paul and Nathaly’s TEAM which included team members in Quito and Cotacachi. They were always available to answer any questions that came up during the process and we just had to be available by email or by phone when the customs inspections were going on. The estimates they gave me were aligned with the actual costs. Everything was delivered to our house the same day it was released from customs. We couldn’t be happier with the services they provided and would gladly recommend RSE to anyone.

My wife and I recently moved to Salinas, Ecuador. Don’t be fooled into thinking it is an easy thing to do, but we were fortunate to have the services of Paul Wilches and his team at relocationsevicesofecuador.net to make the shipping of our household goods as smooth as it could have been. They guided us through the entire process, calling on the phone and staying in touch with email to work through all of the details. Paul met us in Salinas and his team unloaded our goods and brought them up to the eighth floor into our new home. All of our goods arrived undamaged.
Muchas gracias to the entire team, Ray and Gisela Buen

“Paul, Nathlay, and Carmen of Relocation Services of Ecuador did an amazing job organizing and shipping our belongings. Not only did they provide all the details we needed upfront, they went out of their way to ensure our container was at our house on the exact date we needed it, even though there was a snafu with the container company. They were there for us every step of the way and it was great to be able to know that we could count on them to keep our belongings safe as well as avoid any surprises along the way. Hello,
I was reading your comments at Expat.com. I was wondering if you could help me with a quote, procedure, times, deadlines for a 20″ container to be shipped from Miami to Pifo (near Quito). Door to door service. I want to purchase our household goods like kitchen items, social rooms, sofas, decoration, our old couches and personal items, and others.
Please let me know if you can help me. I currently live outside of Quito, in a town called Pifo. My wife has a ecuadorian visa and she is moving to live here in Ecuador. Any comments will be very helpful.

RSE promised us «door to door» service from Maryland, USA to Cuenca Ecuador and that was what we got from Paul and Nathaly, the efficient and thoroughly professional duo that make up the core of RSE.
Tele’s passport number was incorrectly entered into the system when we arrived in Quito. It took Paul just one day to get it corrected. That is a miracle and our lawyer confirmed it. We appreciate what Paul did even better now that we have had to deal with similar government establishments since arriving in Cuenca 3 months ago.
Delivery of our container to El Valle was smooth and effortless. The work crew was pleasant, friendly and respectful. Great experience all round. Thank you Paul and feel free to use us as referals. You have our number!

My name is John Dayn Romine and I have recently moved from the USA to Cuenca, Ecuador S.A. with my wife and our dog.
Prior to our moving we decided to bring all of our household belongings with us. We did a thorough search for a way to get our belongings from south eastern USA to Cuenca, Ecuador.
We found Relocation Services of Ecuador. Paul Wilches and Nathaly Consuegra gave us a complete description of what we needed to do and exactly what they would do for us in writing via email and telephone conversation.
The only thing we had to do was load the ship container that they sent to our house in the USA. They did everything all the way to unloading our belongings in our new house in the rooms that they were directed to.
Their services from start to finish were most excellent. Their professionalism, friendly attitude, and willingness to help in every way has developed a true friendship between us.
Everything was smooth and done in a most timely manner.

From start to finish, your service was professional, informative and invaluable!
«No one should leave home without you!» ….Your services can be trusted to help any immigrant to Ecuador with their container needs. Trying to bring a container in without the highly experienced, professional services of Relocation Services of Ecuador could be a very expensive mistake!
Furthermore, our journey was a bit different, our container came in attached to my visa and I (Kimberlee)had to go it alone. Paul Wilches, assured me that all would be okay and as long as he was there to communicate for me (since I speak little Spanish) that there was nothing to worry about, and to relax! He was right! Everything went especially well! The delivery service to our Ecuador home «door» was extraordinary…the unload team was very considerate handling and placing our household where we requested.
Thank you again for your services, we could not be more pleased with Relocation Services of Ecuador!
Very easy to reach you by phone or email.
Easy to speak with you; never felt rushed, always good/helpful conversations. Also the spreadsheet template supplied was very helpful as well as the itemized costs etc.
We were very pleased with your services and genuinely feel that we made two new friends. We would & will recommend your company to anyone wanting to relocate to Ecuador. Thank you again very, very much.
Looking to ship a container to Ecuador…..
Heard and read all the horror stories…….. So did I, and thus, spent quite a bit of time doing my due diligence…………. I wound up choosing Relocation Services of Ecuador, Paul Wilches and Nathaly Consuegra, who I refer to as the dynamic duo. I was provided a detailed door to door quote from Houston TX to Cuenca and based on four other quotes, they were the most reasonable. But what really made up my mind to to use them was the fact that Paul was there at every crossroad, answering questions and making recommendations that made the process painless. Were there some bumps in the road, you can count on them. What made the difference was Paul and Nathaly were right on the issue, and kept the process moving forward. The icing on the cake was when my container arrived and Paul and Nathaly’a team unloaded the container. They were great, and when we had an issue with our bedroom headboard and marble top kitchen table not fitting in the elevator…. They carried both these items up 16 flights…… I was impressed……. Shipping containers: Relocation Services of Ecuador
My original intent was to fly first class to Ecuador and bring as much as I could bring in luggage on two separate trips within a six month period. As time went on, though, I realized I’d never be able to bring many of the small kitchen appliances and other items I wanted to bring, so I contacted Paul Wilches and Nathaly Consuegra of Relocation Services of Ecuador in September about getting estimates on what it would cost to ship a lift van (an 87″ x 87″ x 45″ plywood container held together with metal straps) or a 20′ shipping container. For me, the lift van worked out best because I wasn’t bringing any furniture, but many small boxes of household items, a large flat screen TV and gas grill.
Once I received the estimates, it became clear that the lift van was the best alternative for me, and as it turned out, was cheaper than the cost of trying to fly my belongings down in two separate trips while allowing me to bring in many more items. Paul and Nathaly coordinated the whole process from beginning to end and Relocation Services of Ecuador has offices in the US as well as Cuenca, so the process was seamless.
First of all, I am almost setteled in our new home here in Cuenca, Ecuador thanks to the two of you, Paul and Nathaly. All of our household items arrived in tact. The two of you are very hard working, thorough, honest, and really knowledgeable in your area of expertise (relocating). I obtained several bids regarding moving our forty foot container to Cuenca, Ecuador. Relocation Services of Ecuador was able to communicate in English what the complete job would consist of. As we say in English I asked the five W’s (who, what, where, when, why, and sometimes how), and all questions were answered with no hesitation during the presentation regarding services provided by Relocation Services Of Ecuador. I like very much when companies do not pressure me to make a decision. Relocation Services Of Ecuador waited patiently and I made the decision to select a wonderful organization to coordinate the complete move from start to finish.
The port experience is something I will never forget. First of all when I say “hard working” I mean early long hours to Guayaquil from Cuenca. It was not necessary to go to the port, but I wanted to view the total picture.
Delivery of our forty foot container from Guyaquil to Cuenca occurred two days later. I believe there were 10-12 men unloading all of our household items. Let me tell you, that was hard work, and the guys were so courteous, doing the work with a smile. Looking
On May 15, 2014 my wife and I moved to Cuenca, Ecuador. We had visited Cuenca 3 times prior to moving here. Every time we visited Cuenca we were always told positive stories about the folks at Relocation Services of Ecuador. Both Nathaly Consuegra and Paul Wilches are friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable about moving your household belongings to Ecuador. Being bilingual, they make every step of the process less stressful. Our experience with RSE was wonderful. Their step-by-step documentation (which was emailed to us prior to our move) took all the guess work out of what needed to be completed for both the shipper and Ecuadorian Customs. Please feel free to contact me through email –jabadead@gmail.com – if you would like to discuss our move to Ecuador,
as well as the professional group at RSE.
Paul Wilches is a life saver. I hired an unprofessional transportation company in the US that would have left me high and dry in Guayaquil with an automobile that would not have been allowed in the country and an inventory that had no detail what-so-ever. Paul gave me solid advice and we worked around several touchy issues. I ended up having to sell the car, but after the inventory was redone to Paul’s specifications my household goods were delivered without a hitch. Could not be happier with his service.
I would like to recommend this excellent service, communication, caring and professionalism. You are the only company that moving expiates should involve with and the word is going to spread.
I would like you to know how much I appreciate Paul and Nathaly with your relocation services. You both are such wonderful support for me and my husband. I will not forget that.
I would highly, highly recommend Paul Wilches and his company Relocation Services of Ecuador for your shipping needs. Paul and his assistant, Nathaly Consuegra, are professional, courteous, friendly, and not to mention very competent. They remained in communication with me throughout the process, and you couldn’t ask for better representation with the Ecuadorian customs officials. Everything was also handled in a very timely manner as well. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the job Paul and Nathaly did.
My wife and I became Ecuador residents in November of 2013. We then returned to the States to prepare a very complicated three way move. RSE handled the import of a 20’ container filled with all of our household goods. They provided helpful instructions on packing everything correctly, how to label the boxes, and how to prepare an inventory list. They handled all of the paperwork, including translating the inventory list into Spanish. The day before our container arrived, Nathalie met us in Guayaquil and walked us through the process of preparing and signing the paperwork so that RSE could receive the container on our behalf – we never had to go to the dock or Customs ourselves. When the container arrived, RSE was there to oversee everything. Although Customs did open and inspect many of our boxes, not a single item was questioned or taxed. RSE had the container placed on a truck, driven to Salinas, and provided workers to unload everything and bring it all up to our condo. We shipped a variety of kitchen items, furniture, musical instruments, electronics, glassware, mirrors, art work – you name it. And I’m happy to report not a single item was lost or damaged in shipment.
RSE provides a wonderful and professional service, and we recommend them to anyone who is considering a move to Ecuador.

My husband and I employed the service of Paul Wilches at Relocation Services of Ecuador for our move from New Hampshire to Cuenca, Ecuador. Moving is a difficult and often emotionally charged experience, but Paul and his charming and very competent assistant, Nathalie, were indescribably helpful in providing the information we needed in to itemize and pack our belongings, which we kept in storage with an independent storage company for several months prior to utilising the services of Relocation Services of Ecuador. Our only regret is that we used the services of an independent storage company instead of using Paul’s established business contacts for that stage of the process. However, Paul and Nathalie showed extreme patience and skill in negotiating with the very difficult manager of the storage company in New Hampshire and then coordinated the remaining stages of the move with the truckers and international shipper. Paul accompanied us to Guayacil for the Ecuador Customs inspection and provided a calming presence on the trip and during the inspection process. During the Customs inspection, when I found the urn with my father’s ashes open and scattered in the box, Paul quietly reassured me, respectfully retrieved the ashes, and returned them to the urn. When issues arose during the inspection due to inventory problems arising from the storage company’s incompetence, Paul was there to negotiate with officials, provide reassurance to us, and essentially, saved the day. Our belongings arrived in our condo intact, and we are grateful daily for Paul and Nathalie’s skills in all areas of the complicated process in the move to the beautiful city of Cuenca.
Sincerely,
Linda and Richard Berke
