After hearing some negative stories about bringing shipping containers to Ecuador, we felt so lucky to find out about Paul from others who had had positive experiences bringing containers from the US and Europe.

We came from British Columbia, Canada where we already owned a shipping container. Paul met with us over Zoom and went over the process in detail (in excellent English) of how he would arrange pickup for our container once it was packed, and have it loaded onto a ship in Vancouver. We were surprised and pleased that it only took 30 days from port to port. The process of packing a container and creating a detailed manifest was a lot easier with Paul’s help because we could call him any time and ask questions and get his advice based on years of experience working with customs.

Once our container arrived in Guayaquil, Paul’s crew sent photos of the contents of each box that customs required to be opened, so we could be sure nothing went missing. Routine inspections can require up to 40% of the contents be checked.

About a week after that all the paperwork was signed and our container was safely delivered and unloaded in Vilcabamba by Paul’s crew. Every single one of our 250+ boxes, appliances and furniture items made it safely, without damage.

Working with Paul was a pleasure. He always took time to speak with us whenever we needed clarification or help, and was very kind and knowledgeable.
