This is a 5 STAR recommendation for Paul Wilches and his entire team at Relocation Services of Ecuador, located in Cuenca, Ecuador. Our initial meeting with Paul took place in November 2023 and was incredibly informative. Paul speaks excellent English and not only described his side of the process of moving our belongings from Ohio to Cuenca, but he also fully explained what we would have to do to prepare for the delivery of the container. In addition, he showed us numerous photos of how to label and ID our belongings and what the port authority area looks like and how the port officials examine our belongings…it is really quite a process!
The truck driver who brought our 20′ container to Ohio in May 2024 arrived on time. After it was loaded (by local guys who we had hired), the driver locked up the container in our presence. When the container arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Paul sent us photos of the inside of the container – it had never been opened during its 3 week land and ocean transit. Paul then sent us photos of our boxes and furniture spread out for examination by the port officials. Once our belongings were cleared, they were delivered to us in Cuenca in June 2024 on a Sunday morning. Paul had brought 4 men with him who carried all our belongings into the house, putting them in either the living room or taking them up to the second floor. There were done in 1.5 hours!
All in all, my husband and I (both retired), could not have dealt with all the people that Paul dealt with in both the US and in Ecuador. To move your belongings to Ecuador, you should hire Relocation Services of Ecuador as their services are well worth the money spent!
